Welcome to Southern Indiana Pediatrics

Established in 1995, Southern Indiana Pediatrics, LLC is proud to provide healthcare to serve the children and their families of south central Indiana. Our pediatricians and nurse practitioners make up one of the largest and most experienced pediatric practices in the state. Similar philosophies on pediatric care and a commitment to excellence in medical care brought Drs. James Laughlin, Debra McDaniel and Richard Malone together in 1995. Southern Indiana Pediatrics then grew with the additions of Dr. Scot Moore, Dr. George Sorrells, Dr. Heather Franklin, Dr. David Esarey, Dr. Amy Simpson, Dr. Debbie Hall, Dr. Audra Mazdzer and Dr. Elda Simpson in Bedford. In 2007 we grew again, with the addition of Dr. Jason Simmonds and the opening of our Ellettsville office. In 2008 we welcomed Dr. John Wrasse full-time to our Bedford office and in 2009 Dr. Brechin Newby joined us at our Landmark office.  As more pediatricians are needed to serve the families in this area, Southern Indiana Pediatrics will be there.

Southern Indiana Pediatrics has an equal commitment to care for sick children and to promote health through immunizations, well child care and community education. From newborn through adolescence, the physicians and staff strive to encourage healthy lifestyles that will last a lifetime.

Since children don't get sick on schedule, Southern Indiana Pediatrics is open and staffed 365 days per year. Currently we have four office locations: two in Bloomington, one in Ellettsville, and one in Bedford. In addition to our regular office hours, we also offer extended "after-hours" appointments via our Urgent Care Clinic located at our Bloomington office at 350 Landmark Avenue. Our Bedford office also offers extended office hours for urgent care needs. Southern Indiana Pediatrics also hosts physicians in pediatric specialty clinics such as cardiology, neurology, urology and psychology. Many of these specialists come from outside of Bloomington to help patients and parents receive as much care as possible in their local communities.

The relationship among a child, parents and pediatrician is an important one. At Southern Indiana Pediatrics all providers work with parents to achieve optimum health and development for their children.
